StarNet Dial Up Accelerator
MegaPOP has created an accelerated solution designed specially for ISPs to resell and gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
The StarNet Dial Up Accelerator introduces the concept of local caching throughout a wholesale dial network to optimize the performance of Web acceleration products. We offer faster dial access than any other provider in the industry because our Web acceleration product is as close to the subscriber as it can possibly be.
To improve overall performance we have deployed servers and traffic optimization technologies throughout our Wide Area Network (WAN). MegaPOP's WAN is also optimized for streamlined network traffic by "peering" with other major networks, many of whom host the Internet's most popular web sites.

E-mail
MegaPOP can provide email services for each MegaPOP account to be used with their Dial Up access service. You will need to provide a valid domain name for this service.
Note: E-mail address prices are managed separately from any other service and are not included in other services. E-mail addresses can be created in any volume desired, regardless of the number of Analog of ISDN Dial Up accounts. * As a value-add, set-up fee for this service includes Web space as well.
Static IP Addresses
Static IP addresses can be allocated or assigned to an ISDN or PPP/Analog Dial Up account. These addresses are limited to one single address per account, either ISDN or Analog (no "subnets" or multiple IP addresses can be assigned to a Dial Up account, ISDN or Analog). Static IPs are managed through the MegaPOP Ticket System.
Call Finder
MegaPOP offers a utility for use in your company's Web site that queries a centralized database to determine the retail customer's local access number in the MegaPOP network. The database is updated monthly with every area code and prefix in the United States. We provide a PERL script that can be modified to fit your Web site.
The Call Finder service includes unlimited queries from your Web server. One IP address is allowed access to the Call Finder database for each Call Finder service fee.
